animal kingdom

Posted by Picasa
***if you click on the comments below the disney posts, tyler added some more info about the pics that is fun to read. and, as always, click on the collages for a better view***
for their last day, they visited animal kingdom. the kids had charactatures done. i'm sure that they are cute! brooke said that scott's characature had a huge "potato head." i saw a pic of it that tyler sent to my phone and scott's head was rather large. haha! i wish that i could write more about this day. i'm asking brooke to fill me in, but she is sick and running 102 fever, so she's not much help at this point! bless her!!! i do know that one of tyler's favorite "brookie faces" is the pouty face that she is making up there. see it...with the pouty lips and her eyes rolled? she's our drama girl! we have a "girly girl" and a boy who is "all boy!" that is for sure!!!

epcot

Posted by Picasa
tyler, brooke and scott loved experiencing the different cultures in epcot. i love that middle pic in the collage! the kiddos were picked for a game show. you will be able to see those pics in the collage. the teams tied...so there were 2 winners! tyler said that it was really hot that day in orlando, so it was nice that they were able to do activities inside. tyler, brooke and scott had quite the climate change when they got back here. after the 90 degree weather in fl, they came back to 50's here in nc. brrrr! well, not really, but compared to what they had known...it was quite chilly!

electrical parade

Posted by Picasa
one of the things i vividly remember about the magic kingdom as a child is the electrical parade. it was super-cool! :) so, gramma and i kept telling tyler that he had to take the kids to the parade. we were so thrilled that he did! i think tyler was impressed! it really is incredible to see.

brooke's birthday dinner

brooke chose japanese for her birthday dinner. so, off to epcot they went! brooke got ice cream for dessert. when i asked her what she ate, that is what she remembered. guess you can't blame her for rememebering the good stuff! :) scott was excited about his chopsticks, as you can see in the above photo. brooke had a wonderful, busy and full day. i know that she made memories with daddy and scott that will last a lifetime! if you notice brookie's necklace...it was one of her gifts from her mimi and poppi. brooke said that all of the girl cousins on the wilson side of the family have one. she loves it! :)

sea world

Posted by Picasa
sea world was the chosen destination for brooke's 8th birthday! birthday girl's favorite part of sea world was seeing shamu. and she also liked the sea horses and the giant octopus. brooke picked out a stuffed manatee as one of her b'day gifts from gramma and grampi. and scott, not to be left out, won a penguin. (well, daddy won it for him!) :) so it was a good day at sea world...smiling faces all around!

magic kingdom

Posted by Picasa
daddy took brookie and scott to magic kingdom on their first day at disney world. i heard that scott's favorite ride was "it's a small world." brooke's favorite ride was "aladdin." as most of you know, brooke loves to hula-hoop. and how great is it that there was hula-hooping in the streets of the magic kingdom? perfect! :)

happy 8th birthday brookie!!!

Posted by Picasa
this is the first of a few birthday posts for our sweet girl, i'm sure. she celebrated here today with scott and me. the pics above are of the kiddos opening their gifts from ralph and betty and the williams side of the family. so thanks to everyone! as you can see in the pics, she (and scott) loved everything!!! :) she spent her actual birthday in disney world with her daddy and scott. and then we are celebrating again this weekend! miss priss is having the birthday that keeps on giving...and she deserves it! i feel so blessed to have brookie as my daughter and i know that her daddy feels the same way. brooke is truly a sweet, kind, loving spirit with a little dash of drama and some spunk added into the mix. she loves all things "fancy" and enjoys reading and art, dancing and singing. she's all girl and i wouldn't have it any other way! happy 8th birthday brookie!!! you are so loved by so many!!! :)

it's that time of year again...

three cheers for breathing treatments!

it's a party over here!

yes...it's breathing treatment time again. scott always seems to deal with this during spring and fall. last fall brooke even had to take some breathing treatments, but thankfully she seems fine this year. not so for scott. as you can tell, someone visited disney world! scott, brooke and tyler just got back from disney. i was hoping that the warm weather would help scott's reactive airway to quit reacting! but it was not to be. so, here we are. but isn't he cute with the mickey mouse ears? i could not resist taking a few pics... he loves tossing his animals in the air during the treatments. he laughs and laughs and that helps him to take deep breaths, so it's a win-win situation! :) well, except that we would rather be winning by not needing the treatments. but, we are so blessed....i'm not complaining!!!

grandparent's day

okay....aunt lisa is not a grandparent, but she is so special to us and we were so thrilled to have her visit coincide with grandparent's day at brooke and scott's school! :) we ate lunch with the kiddos and were able to visit their classrooms together. it was a lot of fun for all of us! thanks aunt lisa and gramma for joining us. we love you!!!

scott...soccer boy!

scott loves all things sports...and this is his latest sporting adventure. he really seems to enjoy soccer! his team is called the "tigers" and they are having a good season! here are a few pics taken at his games. enjoy! :)

homemade pumpkin patch

see all of the pumpkins!
acting out the show...

brooke and scott made a good linus and sally, don't you think?
brooke and scott both love "it's the great pumpkin, charlie brown" and it's a tradition around here to watch it! scott had the grand idea to make pumpkins out of pipe cleaners and he made his own pumpkin patch to sit in while watching the movie. i love his imagination! :) brooke has taken it upon herself to try and memorize the part where sally lets linus "have it" for causing her to miss out on tricks-or-treats. it's so funny to watch them reinact it! i took some pics to help me remember. if you click on the pics and look at the expressions of the characters on the t.v. and look at the expressions of brooke and scott, it's so funny (at least it is to me!) :D

brookie...star student!

brooke was chosen to be the "star student" in her class. she is doing really well in school and loves, loves her teacher. here are a few pics of her with her "star student" poster...

riding the school bus...

here comes the bus...
gannon leading the way...scott is coming down the steps
there's scott!
and there's brookie....not far behind!
what is scott's favorite thing about school, you might ask? riding the bus, he would definitely say! he LOVES riding the bus. and brooke seems to enjoy it, too. when you think about it, it is a big deal to be able to sit in a vehicle and not be strapped into a booster seat. :) here are a few pics of scott's first day getting off of the school bus...

first day of school

scott's first backpack
brooke all ready for her first day
scott, too!
pam sent cupcakes for after school...yum!

those cupcakes...they were a hit!

the kiddos are so blessed to have wonderful teachers this year! brooke and scott have had a really good year so far. they both have settled into the "school schedule" and we are staying busy, busy. i am very thankful that they are at such a great school and that the kids love school like they do. :)
