happy birthday grampi!

we were able to go and spend last sunday with grampi....it was his birthday! grampi cooked out for us and gramma made some of her delicious sides. we had a great dinner! grampi can grill out like no one else i know. honestly, he and gramma could open up a restaurant. anyway, gramma got the richest chocolate cake i have ever eaten. it was delicious and i think after a piece, i could go a few months and never want chocolate again. haha! grampi, we love you and are so thankful for you. you are a wonderful man and such an example of what a Godly husband, father and grandfather should be. we are so glad that God blessed us with you! :) happy birthday!

splash!

brooke and scott love gramma and grampi's pool because it has a diving board! they spend most of their time jump, jump, jumping! :) well, except when brooke decides to relax in an intertube! these kiddos are waterbabies if i've ever seen any. they sure do enjoy the pool!

here are some of the pics from the trip to louisiana to see pops and curls! there were so many cute ones that i decided to make a collage. click on it to enlarge the pics. as you can see, pops and curls kept brooke and scott very busy! they went horse-back riding, picked blueberries and went to a museum that looked super-fun! thanks again pops and curls for all you did for brooke and scott. i know that they will remember their time with you with lots of wonderful memories!!! :)

scott getting a lift from uncle michael

okay...this was after mcwane center. my kiddos were hungry and tired. don't even try to take a pic of scott when he is hungry and tired or this is what you get. i had to put this in here because it makes me laugh! lainie hates having her picture made, so she would not cooperate at all. so, here is what we got when we tried to get a picture of uncle michael with his nieces and nephew. oh well! :) we love you uncle michael!!! thanks for all you did for us when we were in b'ham. we loved seeing you there and in nashville. we hope to get that way again sooner rather than later. it's been way too long!!!!

discussing car lifts with uncle michael

the kiddos had a great time checking out uncle frank's shop. uncle michael happens to work there, too, so it was neat for the kiddos to check out where these guys spend many an hour. the kids were fascinated with the car lifts, car parts, and other things that were in there that i don't know the correct name for...like the thing that aligns the tires. haha! anyway, i remember when ground was being broken for this location of franklin automotive. it sure has grown and i'm sure God has blessed frank and his family because of their love for Him and because of the way that they bless so many others. :) frank was able to work on my odyssey when we were in b'ham and my van was even detailed! i could not believe that they got it so clean. the carpets were spotless!!! unbelieveable. thanks frank for all that you did to ensure that we are super-safe in our van. we really appreciate it!!! :)
