brooke had a great day at eastover central on grandparent's day. gramma went and was able to go into her classroom and watch her do some of her classwork, then eat lunch with her and finally go outside to watch her play. thanks gramma for spending the day with brooke. it meant so much to her and to tyler and me as well! and while we are speaking of grandparents, a big thank you to mimi for the sweet notes and suprises that she sends to brooke and scott!!! thanks, mimi! scott used his $1 to buy chocolate. he's my chocoholic!!! brooke is the thrifty one and is saving it for something special. :)
brooke is having a great year and we owe so much of that to her wonderful teacher! she is such an inspiration to me and so many others, i'm sure. you see, she lost her husband and both children. she lost her 11 year old son to a brain anurysm in 1997 and then lost her 14 year old son and husband in a car accident in 2005. so, she has made these kids her family. i can't even imagine going on if i lost the kids and tyler, but she is such an amazing woman with such a strong faith. God truly uses her in so many ways!!!!! brooke loves her and so do we! :)
