scott's rollerblades

scott is obsessed with hockey...specifically the fayetteville fireantz. he lives and breathes hockey. so, we got him some rollerblades. it's hard to get him to sit still long enough to allow me to get a pic of something other than him skating away from me, but i did manage to get these two shots. so, here is our little man in his element. and...our fayetteville fireantz are in the finals! they only have to win one more game against the knoxville ice bears and they will win the president's cup!!! let's go fireantz!!! :)

pops

pops came to visit with us and it was nice to be able to spend some time with him. last time he was here he kept the kiddos, but tyler and i were gone so we did not see him but for a few short hours. we had a great visit and really enjoyed pops being here! :) thanks pops!!!

Easter egg hunt

scott had an easter egg hunt with his preschool class today. he had a great time! we were blessed with beautiful weather and i had a great time watching the kiddos. it's hard to believe that this is one of the last trips that scott will take on the "big purple bus" at village. before long he will be in kindergarten. *sniff sniff* it just doesn't seem possible....

mimi, we really enjoyed our time with you! the kids are counting down the days 'til cousin's camp!!! :) thanks for all that you did for us. we love you!

brooke's new bike

brooke and scott stayed with pops and mimi while tyler and i were in cancun. while mimi had the kiddos, she gave brooke a "refresher course" in bike riding. when we got home, brooke was zipping around everywhere! :) the bike that she was riding was too small for her, but perfect for learning to ride. once she got the hang of it, we felt comfortable "upgrading" her to a new bike. enter gramma and grampi. they really wanted to get brooke a bike that she loved. gramma came over yesterday and we all went shopping for a new bike. brooke picked out this one.....she was adamant on hot pink and she found it! we even got her a new hot pink helmet to match!

.....i know that they don't have their helmets on in some of the pics, but they were riding in the front yard so i wasn't too worried..... :) thanks gramma and grampi for the new bike. thanks mimi for getting brooke comfortable enough to ride again!!!

oh....one more story. scott wants roller blades so that he can play street hockey. he was not happy with the ones that we found, so we did not get them. once we got home he was upset that we did not have the roller blades with us. huh??? anyway, he looked at me and said, "i quit you!" and like the mature mom that i am, i said, "you're fired!" nothing like arguing with a 4 year old. ha!!! gramma thought it was funny!!! :) anyway, we're off to go and buy roller blades (with training wheels) tomorrow. so, more pics of that to come......

the kids and i had a great st patrick's day! we were all dressed in green, of course. we didn't want to get pinched. :) after school, we were invited to stephanie's house for a party. green was everywhere!!! she had green celery, broccoli, grapes, applesauce, marshmallow peeps, mint oreos, shamrock cookies, etc, etc.... the kids all had a ball on the trampoline. she blew up green balloons for them to play with while jumping. the mommies were able to hang out and drink mimosas out of green champagne flutes. tyler even joined in on the fun once he returned from school. it was a wonderful time had by all! thanks, steph!!! :)
